Concerning Miss Bankhead.

Daybreak,“ one of the shortest and most dramatichof the
Schnitzler novels, has becn definitely chosen as the nert pie¬
ture to star Ramon Novarro. Jacques Feyder, whose treat¬
ment of the French film"Faces of Children,“ brought him a
Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer contract, will direct. Among his
American pictures is The Kiss,“ in which Lew Ayres played
his first leading role last year.

Spanish and French versions of his

her movie debut in “Her Past,“
after all. This is now scheduled as

Stewart, will introduce this Ala¬
bama girl, who became an English
stage star several years ago, to
American audiences. Miss Bank¬
head, although she had appeared in
several plays on Broadway, was not
well known as an actress until her
appearance in London productions.
