The performance of “Reigen,“ Ar¬
thur Schnitzler’s much diecussed
play, which the Green Room Club
had planned to give in the Belasco
Theatre to-morrow night in honor of
Otto H. Kahn, has been post¬
poned. This announcement followed
a special meeting of the club’s En¬
teitainment Committee yesterday af¬
ternoon.
The club will give a dinner Sun¬
lay night in honor of Mr. Kahn as
planned,“ sald Harry L. Reichen¬
bach, a director of the club and friend
of Schnitzler. Afterward the play
will be read to members, guests and
newspaper men in the sclub rocms.
WWe have been assured by newspaper
men they will give a full criticism of
the play as read.
Then we shall let the publie judge
whether the play is clean, as we have
stated, and if the public as a fury
is convinced it is not obscene or im¬
oral a private performance of“Roi¬
gen,“ for club members and guests,
will be given the following Sunday
